PADI DIVEMASTER COURSE

Interested in scuba diving as a career? This is the first level of professional training in the scuba diving industry. Divemaster training develops your dive leadership abilities and qualifies you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers. This is a prerequisite certification for both the PADI Assistant Instructor and PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor certifications.

Oceanwild's Master Dive Instructor Almudena Miles offers PADI Divemaster course. Following PADI requirements, the course involves classroom and independent study, water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises to strengthen your ability to organize and solve problems, and help others improve their scuba.

For full details on the course and the professional diving opportunities available to certified PADI Divemasters contact us. For other information on PADI or its courses, visit http://www.padi.com.

Prerequisites: To qualify for this course, you must be 18 years of age, hold a PADI advanced Open Water Diver certificate or qualifying certification from another organization, hold an Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care or qualifying first aid and CPR training certificate from another organization within the past 24 months and have completed at least 40 dives to begin the course and 60 for certification. You must be fit for diving and submit a Medical Statement signed by a physician within the past 12 months.

It is recommended you own all of our own scuba equipment, since familiarity with gear improves general diving skills.

It is also highly recommended that you complete PADI's Search and Recovery and Deep Diver courses. As a successful Divemaster, you are also urged to complete the following courses:

  • Boat Diver
