OPEN WATER DIVE COURSE

The Open Water Diver course is PADI's most popular certification program and introduces you to ocean diving.

Oceanwild's course is staged over two weekends. During the first weekend, the knowledge segment is completed in a Prince Rupert classroom with Instructor Almudena Miles. You will learn diving language, basic principals such as how pressure affects your body, the best choices of gear for you, and how to plan your dives, learn about diving gear and get fitted up. You will take your first underwater breath in a confined water dive in the Earl Mah Aquatic Centre.

This is followed on the second weekend by your first open water dive. The practice portion takes place in the ocean with Instructor Miles as you review and practice the motor procedures for safe diving.
