UNDERWATER NATURALIST

This is an Oceanwild's favorite, and Instructor Almudena Miles' specialty. She brings all her knowledge and experience as a professional diver and researcher to bear, offering a wealth of information.

In this course you will learn to see more when you are underwater by becoming familiar with marine critters, their behaviors and their role is in the aquatic ecosystem. Learn not just what fish and animals are, but how they interact with each other and the environment. You will watch for symbioses, predator/prey, and other relationships between aquatic plant and animal life.

Prerequisites: You must be at least 10 years old to take this course with a PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver rating or other qualifying rating..
Price: $250.00 + taxes
What's included: PADI Underwater Naturalist Manual, PADI certification fee, and air fills.
What you need to bring:Drysuit, personal diving gear, light, knife, compass, camera, and slate. It is recommended you dress warmly and in layers, bring a hat/head warmer and gloves for on boat, wear wind/waterproof outerwear (jacket and rain pants)and boots, and pack a lunch, snacks and warm beverages.
